    Registration period for Convocation 2024: 12 to 23 August 2024

    Eligible graduands will receive an email invitation (via their SIT email) to register for Convocation 2024 in early August.

    Step 1: Check your Eligibility

    To be eligible for Convocation 2024, you have to: 

    • Fulfill all graduation requirements*
    • Be conferred with a degree in Trimester 1, 2 or 3 of AY2023/24

    *If you fail to fulfil the graduation requirements, your attendance registration and academic dress order will be voided.

    Step 2: Register your Attendance via IN4SIT

    • Log in to IN4SIT
    • Select Graduation 
    • Select Ceremony Registration

    During the registration, you are reminded to: 

    • Verify your contact details in IN4SIT. Please ensure that your information is accurate and up-to-date.
    • Indicate your attendance and number of guests (up to two) whom you are inviting to attend the ceremony. 
    • Indicate in the ‘Remarks’ section if you, or your guests, are arriving in a wheelchair, require special assistance, or have mobility challenges. 
    • Ensure your registration is properly submitted by clicking the ‘Submit’ button on the final page.

    Step 3: Order and Collect your Academic Dress

    Upon registration of your attendance for the ceremony, order your academic dress with the university’s official Academic Dress vendor – Serangoon Broadway.

    Step 4: Settle Outstanding Fees (if any)

    Please settle any outstanding fees and loans before October 2024 to avoid having your degree parchment withheld.

    Graduand Admission Card 

    You will receive a Graduand Admission Card after you have successfully registered for the Convocation Ceremony. This card includes details such as your name, student ID, and allocated graduand seat number. You are required to retain the card throughout the ceremony. Please collect it along with your academic dress from our official academic dress vendor, Serangoon Broadway.

    Academic Dress

    You are required to order your academic dress from our official vendor, Serangoon Broadway, from 12 to 23 August 2024

    More details will be provided when you register your attendance for the ceremony via IN4SIT.

    Please note that appointments for the collection of the academic dress are on a first-come, first-served basis.

    Collection Venue

    The collection venue for your Graduand Admission Card and academic dress will be as follows. You may collect these items from 24 September to 15 October 2024.

    During the collection of your academic dress, you will be required to make payment for the following:

    • Security Deposit (refundable): S$150.00
    • Rental Fee for Academic Dress: S$40.00

    Returning of Academic Dress

    After the ceremony, you are reminded to return the academic dress to Serangoon Broadway from 23 October to 3 November 2024.

    The deposit will be refunded when you return the academic dress during this period in good condition*.

    Should you return the academic dress after this period, or if it is not found to be in good condition*, the security deposit will be forfeited.

    *An academic dress is deemed to be in "good condition" if there are no cuttings/alterations of any kinds, burns, tears, rips in fabric, holes on velvet or satin, discolourations, irremovable stains, scotch tape marks, damaged or missing buttons/tassel or dented mortar boards.

    Degree Parchment & Transcripts

    For students conferred in Trimesters 1 and 2, you will be notified via your SIT email when the documents are ready for collection. Uncollected degree parchments and official transcripts will be available for collection at the Convocation ceremonies.

    For students conferred in Trimester 3, the degree parchments and official transcripts will be available for collection at the Convocation ceremonies.

    You are strongly advised to settle all outstanding fees ahead of the ceremony. Graduands with outstanding fees will have their degree parchments withheld.

    OpenCerts
    Under the OpenCerts initiative led by SkillsFuture Singapore and the Government Technology Agency, graduands will also be issued a digital OpenCerts parchment.

    The OpenCerts parchment will automatically be added to your Skills Passport in your MySkillsFuture account. You can view or download your OpenCerts parchment by logging in at the MySkillsFuture website. With your OpenCerts certificate, potential employers or learning institutes may verify your academic qualification obtained from SIT.

    Graduands will be notified via the SIT lifelong email account when the OpenCerts parchment is available. For more information on OpenCerts, please visit https://opencerts.io/.

    Registered graduands may register for e-tickets for up to two guests. Each e-ticket admits one person.

    Graduands will receive the e-tickets via your SIT email address by end September 2024.

    You are advised to forward the email and ticket details to your guests, as there are separate entry points for graduands and guests.

    If your guests are entering together:

    • The email may be forwarded to them. Both e-tickets will be scanned together.

    If your guests are entering separately:

    • Download the e-tickets from the email.
    • Save them as two separate PDFs.
    • The separate PDFs can be emailed to your respective guests, or you may print them and pass the printed tickets to them separately.

    Either a printed copy or soft copy of the tickets must be presented for scanning at the point of entry to enter the Theatre.

    Children below the age of seven will not be permitted to enter the Theatre for the ceremony.
