In my opinion, the Hospitality Business programme has given students the autonomy to perform their roles effectively, such that the distinction between a student’s and full-time employee’s ability of work is not apparent. Students’ performances were on par with that of a full-time staff.

The projects in the Hospitality Business programme are often real industry case studies which provide opportunities to work with real clients to derive and propose solutions. This bridges the gap between academia and industry which has provided me with a magnitude of learning opportunities.

The Ascott Limited is glad to participate in SIT’s Integrated Work Study Programme (IWSP). Overall, the students were proactive, resourceful, and able to work independently. They brought about a positive energy and a can-do attitude. Even during moments of struggle, we saw them taking our coaching and guidance into their stride and were able to bounce back. Also, these students worked well with the teams and contributed meaningfully. The IWSP exposure is undoubtedly helpful as it gives them a leg up in their future careers.
