What motivated you to join the programme?
As someone who finds great joy in creating things that have a lasting effect, I was drawn to the opportunity of being able to shape the future of SIT. After graduating from my diploma, my matriculation into SIT caught everyone by surprise. That’s when I realize not many knew about SIT and the amazing programs it offers. Being a SITizen Ambassador provides me with the platform to connect with like-minded individuals and create a positive impact. Beyond being attracted to the ability to co-create the future of SIT, I was enticed by the journey of personal growth that I am able to embark on.
What was your most memorable moment as a SITizen Ambassador?
The most memorable memory for me as a SITizen Ambassador would definitely be the opportunity I had to host the Ministers during SIT’s 10th Anniversary Gala Dinner. The dinner not only marked a significant milestone for SIT as an autonomous university, but was also an epitome of my learning journey as a SITizen Ambassador – putting what we were taught to practice and create a lasting legacy. It was an honor to be able to engage with the ministers and senior management, sharing the wholesome experience I had as a SITizen.
What does being a SITizen Ambassador mean to you even beyond your time in SIT as a student?
As cliché as it might be, I am a firm believer of ‘Once a SITizen, Always a SITizen’. Even after graduation, we will continue to hold the name of being a SITizen. By being role models and thriving in our respective industries, we are able to exemplify the SITizen-DNA we embody and advocate for SIT with pride. My time as a SITizen Ambassador equipped me with the soft skills like communication and networking, I hope that I can continue to use these skills to engage with prospective students, SITizens and industry partners.
