What inspired you to become a SITizen Ambassador?
I have always wanted to become part of a community where peers are proactive and enjoy enthusiastic sharing. I hoped that being a SITizen Ambassador would enrich my growth beyond just my academic skills, as well as excelling in individual non-academic goals and be engaging with the general public to share how SIT is the place to complete your tertiary education.
From networking workshops to seminars on self-development, these opportunities allowed me to know more about myself and how to empathise with different people. The SITizen Ambassadors Programme helped me in building my confidence, learning social tips and tricks to network and succeed in interviews. Knowing my motivations and personality traits helped to open perspective on various career paths and how I would be able to contribute as an individual in any organisation.
As a member of the pioneer batch of SITizen Ambassadors, I would hope to continually participate in events and be available to newer SITizen Ambassadors as a mentor. Developing deep connections and interaction with each and every Ambassador would be tough, but engagement at a personal level has to happen to keep in touch with them.
