(Office of SITizen Experience)
What motivated you to join the programme?
I joined the SITizen Ambassadors as part of the Vanguard Programme under the Office of SITizen Experience.
As a freshman, I was inspired by the preceding batch of Vanguards. Their encouragement and support left an indelible mark on me and has been invaluable in my professional and personal journey in SIT. And so, after completely a year of leadership service, I was motivated to contribute to our vibrant SIT community; paying what I received forward.
What was your most memorable moment as a SITizen Ambassador?
Apart from serving as a Vanguard, I regularly serve as an emcee for the University. I had the opportunity to host multiple events, ranging from the school-wide Day Zero, to international conferences such as the CBExchange, along with various milestone events for SIT, such as the SIT Punggol Campus Topping Out Ceremony, and the 10th Year Anniversary Gala Dinner.
It has been a privilege and an honour to represent the school, and to meet such a diverse group of individuals along the way. These priceless interactions have broadened my perspectives significantly and allowed me to form many meaningful and lasting connections.
What does being a SITizen Ambassador mean to you even beyond your time in SIT as a student?
Extending beyond my role as a student, I have found purpose and passion in serving as a bridge between different groups of people. Whether in my capacity as a Vanguard or as a SITizen Ambassador, I feel fortunate to have the opportunity to listen to various voices and represent them. It's a duty I embrace with deep pride and humility, and one that I am to carry forward in my future endeavours.
