Overview
Design drives innovation, creating new value and markets, and offering a human-centred approach to tackling societal challenges.
A workforce that is skilled in design can play an instrumental role in enabling our companies to remain competitive through innovation amid industry transformation.
The SIT Postgraduate Certificate in Design Strategy and Innovation (PGCert DSI) seeks to fill the industry need for design innovation training that is hands-on and applicable to current industry needs without being merely theoretical. Candidates do not need to be from the design industry. In fact, candidates who are experts in a particular field can be equipped with these transferrable principles and tools of design strategy and innovation.
The modules can be taken individually or stack towards a PGCert DSI, worth 3 credits for non-core modules, and 12 credits for the core module.
Modules Available
Modules are stackable towards a Postgraduate Certificate in Design Strategy and Innovation. They can also be taken individually.
Candidates will be awarded an PGCert DSI if they pass the core module (DSI6000) and 4 modules totalling 24 credits with a Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of ≥ 2.5.
Prerequisites
- A Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline
- Other candidates may be admitted on a case-by-case basis upon evaluation by the course director
