Dan CHIA
Profile
Biography
Dan has been serving as a senior lecturer at the Singapore Institute of Technology since 2017. Prior to his academic career, he gained 17 years of industry experience working at several automotive companies, including Delphi, Siemens VDO, and Continental, from 2001 to 2017. With a portfolio of over 10 patents, his most recent position at Continental was as the Director of ITS Lab and Head of Advanced Development in Asia, focusing on infotainment and connectivity products. His primary area of interest lies in applied research involving artificial intelligence and deterministic methods for ensuring safety operations in Autonomous Vehicles and Intelligent Transport Systems. Dan is also actively involved in contributing to industry standards and social innovation. He leverages his experience and expertise to engage with social enterprises to create community awareness and drive social benefits.
