Innovation Leadership Programme (ILP): Innovation Training & Workshop

Dr. Lim Chon Phung is an IT industry veteran with more than three decades of experience, having served as a Senior VP at Oracle and VP at Hewlett-Packard. He retired from the corporate world in 2015 to spend time on his passion for research and teaching. He is currently a Research Fellow and Adjunct Faculty at the Lee Kong Chian School of Business at the Singapore Management University (SMU) and an Affiliated Faculty at the Institute of Innovation and Entrepreneurship at SMU. He is also an Adjunct Associate Professor at the Singapore Institute of Technology. 

He leverages his over 35 years of leadership and business operational experience in his teaching and research. Dr. Lim Chon Phung areas of specialisation are leadership, innovation, entrepreneurship, and venture building. He co-authored multiple case studies on how enterprises adopt open innovation to grow and thrive. He is also an angel investor, adviser, and board member of several regional start-ups and social impact initiatives. 

Dr. Lim Chon Phung received his dual Bachelor’s degree from The University of Texas at Austin, an MBA from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business, and a PhD from SMU.

Dr. Yong Hsin Ning is a distinguished professional with over 25 years of experience in both the corporate and academic sectors. Her corporate journey included a significant tenure of over 15 years in management consulting at Accenture Singapore. Transitioning into academia and entrepreneurship, she now plays a pivotal role in educating and guiding the next generation of business leaders and innovators. As an adjunct associate professor at the Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT), Dr. Yong imparts her knowledge of innovation and the Open Innovation Ecosystems to local companies. Her academic contributions extend to her roles as an adjunct faculty member at Singapore Management University's Lee Kong Chian School of Business and an Executive Education Fellow at the National University of Singapore's School of Computing.

In the entrepreneurial domain, Dr. Yong co-founded Change Voyage Consulting and The Biz Lab. Change Voyage Consulting focuses on assisting organisations through complex changes, while The Biz Lab is dedicated to enhancing the success of incubators and startups through data-driven insights. Dr. Yong holds a Bachelor of Accountancy from Nanyang Technological University, a Masters in Commerce specialising in organisation and management studies from the University of New South Wales, and a Ph.D. in General Management from Singapore Management University. Her research during her Ph.D. centred on the decision-making processes of part-time knowledge workers.
