Singapore’s industrial sector accounts for about 60% of the nation’s CO2 emissions. From the perspective of corporate ESG responsibility, it is imperative for the sector to adopt energy efficiency as a core strategy to reduce emissions. Furthermore, this can also reduce total energy costs and improve industrial competitiveness.
With gas transport systems (fans, blowers, and vacuums) widely used across most manufacturing and processing facilities, there are significant energy and emission reduction opportunities through better system design, tuning, and operation.
This comprehensive 5-day energy efficiency course is delivered by expert instructors and will be of interest to energy managers, plant facility engineers, industry consultants and energy auditors. It provides you with a deep understanding of how to assess the efficiency of your fan, blower and vacuum systems, including opportunities for process improvement and effective implementation of performance metrics and maintenance strategies. Ultimately, this knowledge will empower you to successfully identify and capitalise on energy and carbon emission-saving opportunities associated with fan, blower, and vacuum systems.
Who Should Attend
- Energy managers
- Plant and facility engineers
- Internal and external energy auditors
- Energy efficiency opportunity assessors
- Engineers of Energy Services Companies (ESCOs)
- Professional engineers with responsibilities for designing or integrating fan, blower, and vacuum systems across both the manufacturing and processing industries
What You Will Learn
- Review the energy efficiency performance of the fan, blower, and vacuum systems across the facility under your care
- Benchmark the energy intensity and carbon footprint of their gas transport systems
- Identify process improvement opportunities, including energy efficiency, process efficiency, and process reliability
- Apply appropriate system performance metrics and maintenance strategies to sustain fan, blower, and vacuum transport systems at optimal operating parameters
- Minimise waste and identify energy-saving opportunities in major energy-consuming systems:
- Fan systems
- Blower systems
- Vacuum systems
