About Course
The working environments in construction, manufacturing and petrochemical industries present significant risks. Permit to Work (PTW) system is designed as a preventive measure to mitigate major disasters in the workplace.
PTW systems is a formal written procedure aimed at enhancing control over high-risks tasks. It outlines necessary precautions derived from risk assessments to ensure safety in work activities.
This course provides an overview of PTW system covering the operation and documentation of the system. It delves into factors contributing to system failure and the roles and responsibilities of different parties. Learners will gain insight into the PTW life cycle and types of working permits. Additionally, the course introduces the procedure for completing a PTW certificate for hazardous activities and effective techniques for verifying and monitoring the PTW system. Over two days, learners will develop the capability to recognise appropriate circumstances and channels for seeking advice, ensuring proactive risk management and informed decision-making in the workplace.
