  • Explain the foundational concepts of IT cloud infrastructure, cloud technologies, and cloud computing
  • Demonstrate an understanding of deploying cloud solutions and outline key principles of cloud security and governance

Module 2: Cloud Infrastructure and Deployment

  • Identify and explain the core components of cloud infrastructure—virtual machines, storage, networking, databases, and content delivery networks—while mastering major cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, and GCP
  • Design scalable and resilient cloud architectures to meet business needs, implementing application and infrastructure deployments using infrastructure as code and CI/CD techniques
  • Manage cloud resources efficiently while applying security best practices to identify vulnerabilities and tackle challenges in migration, governance, and compliance

Module 3: Cloud Security and Compliance (SecOps)

  • Identify cloud security threats and vulnerabilities, exploring shared responsibility models while applying IAM and RBAC measures to enhance security
  • Secure data at rest and in transit with encryption, implement firewalls and VPNs for network security, and perform patch management and vulnerability scanning to maintain system integrity
  • Recognise and apply compliance standards (e.g., PCI DSS, HIPAA, GDPR, ISO 27001), conduct audits, and develop incident response strategies for cloud environments while exploring emerging cloud security technologies

Module 4: DevOps Practices and Tools

  • Demonstrate the ability to implement DevSecOps and DevOps concepts for deploying secure and agile technological solutions

Module 5: Cloud Administration, Optimisation and Operations

  • Design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure, gaining proficiency in cloud networking, storage, and compute services while optimising resource utilisation and performance
  • Manage cloud spending and resource allocation while applying security best practices and compliance standards to ensure secure, cost-effective operations
  • Apply robust cloud computing practices on major platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) while developing problem-solving skills to optimise performance, troubleshoot applications, and implement backup and disaster recovery strategies

Module 6: Capstone Project on Cloud Computing and DevOps

  • Synthesise and apply the cloud computing and DevOps skills acquired throughout the previous five learning modules in the Capstone Project, effectively demonstrating their problem-solving and solutioning capabilities relating to cloud domains to potential employers
