Electronics and Data Engineering
Radiation 360 Project

This powerpoint deck illustrates Electronics and Data Engineering students’ proposed design and prototype of a 360 Ultraviolet-C radiation Robot that would not only clean surfaces in public transport vehicles, it would also filter contaminated air particles and purify with clean air molecules for inhalation.

Electrical Power Engineering
Modeling and Simulation of SIT-Punggol Microgrid

This academic poster illustrates a student’s design of the SIT-Punggol microgrid model which integrates a solar photovoltaic system and energy storage batteries. The project also performed verification of the active and reactive power control system performance to support grid-connected and island operations.

Electrical Power Engineering
Real-time IoT Monitoring System of Solar Energy

This academic poster illustrates a student’s design and prototype of a real-time Internet of Things (IoT) monitoring system which integrates a dual-axis sun movement tracking system and a solar-powered monitoring system that is capable of consuming voltage from different renewable sources.

Electrical Power Engineering
Development of Data Analytics Model for Condition Monitoring

This video demonstrates how a data-driven model using IoT sensor data can be implemented to continuously monitor the condition of the electrical assets and detect anomalies. The developed system also recommends maintenance cycle index (MCI) for the electrical assets based on the asset utilisation, asset availability, and pattern of failure analysis.

Sustainable Built Environment
Water and Energy Innovation Project with Industry Partners

Sustainable Infrastructure Engineering (Building Services) students embark on a water and energy innovation project where they are tasked to solve real industry problems and provide a solution to the root cause of the issue.

Sustainable Built Environment
Advanced Building Information Modelling (BIM) Training for Sustainable Infrastructure Engineering (Building Services) Students

Sustainable Infrastructure Engineering (Building Services) students have the opportunity to participate in the Advanced Building Information Modelling (BIM) training where they are exposed to new technologies like Augmented Reality and Internet of Things (IoT) for construction planning.

Civil Engineering
Soil Investigation with Kiso-Jiban

Our Civil Engineering students visit a live construction site and learn how to do soil investigation from Kiso-Jiban, a world leading geotechinical consulting firm.

Civil Engineering
Showcase of posters themed CVE students' IWSP journey and the capstone projects embedded in the IWSP

Mr Chua Guan Feng, a graduate from the Bachelor of Engineering (Hon) in Civil Engineering will share about his IWSP journey and capstone project experience.

Hospitality and Tourism Management
National Heritage Board Project

Our team of Hospitality Business students had produced a video in a TikTok style to showcase the Street Corner Heritage Galleries at the Balestier precinct where the Sun Yat-Sen Nanyang Memorial Hall (SYSNMH) is sited. It was very well-received by the public and garnered the highest engagement rate on the SYSNMH’s social media platforms during the digital campaign, in conjunction with Singapore Heritage Festival 2021.

Civil Engineering
Innovative CFRP strengthening techniques for brick wall (for IWSP and Capstone)

Ms Chua Pei Jing, a recent graduate from the Bachelor of Engineering (Hon) in Civil Engineering and a current Masters in Engineering student, will present her IWSP and capstone project experience with FYFE Asia Pte Ltd, which is also her current employer since graduation.

Hospitality and Tourism Management
Pan Pacific ESCAP4DE Project

Our Hospitality Business students were involved in The Pan Pacific's ESCAP4DE project as they assisted to redesign the hotel's pool deck for a better customer experience.
