Dr. Gan Hiong Yap specialises in Reliability Engineering and LEAN Six Sigma. He has worked at the Singapore Institute of Manufacturing Technology, Matsushita Electronics Pte Ltd, Mitsubishi Chemical Infonics Pte Ltd prior to his career at SIT. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering (1st Hons) in Mechanical and Production Engineering and a PhD from Nanyang Technological University. He was a postdoctoral fellow at Research Laboratory of Electronics at Massachusetts Institute of Technology from 2010 - 2012.

Associate Professor Ng Bor Kiat brings with him close to 40 years of industry experiences and extensive involvements in research and development, system management, maintenance engineering and project management. He was previously the Chief Technology Officer and Senior Vice President at SMRT, Chief Maintenance & Engineering Officer of the Singapore Armed Forces and a Consultant to NUS Temasek Systems Institute. Bor Kiat holds a Master’s degree in Military Vehicle Technology from Cranfield Institute of Technology (UK) and a Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical Engineering) degree from Tokyo Institute of Technology (Japan). He is a Chartered Engineer in Railway and Transportation Engineering and a Chartered Engineer in Systems Engineering conferred by the Institution of Engineers Singapore. He attended the Programme for Management Development Programme at Harvard University.
