SIT Spreads Holiday Cheer
Through Gift-Giving Initiative

SIT Partners with SHINE and Allkin Singapore to Support Youth

In a heartwarming demonstration of community spirit, the Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT) collaborated with SHINE Children and Youth Services and Allkin Singapore to spread festive cheer to children and youth. This meaningful initiative, part of SIT's 10 Acts for Good, saw faculty and staff coming together to donate and wrap nearly 80 gifts for young beneficiaries.

SHINE Children and Youth Services, which has been serving the community since 1976, focuses on helping children and youth realise their full potential through comprehensive support programmes. Similarly, Allkin creates nurturing environments where young people can thrive, offering vital educational and developmental support.

The spirit of giving came alive as SIT staff members gathered for a special gift-wrapping session. Working together, they wrapped each present, knowing it would bring smiles to children's faces during the holiday season. This initiative demonstrated how simple acts can create ripples of joy throughout the community.

SIT Strengthens Community Bonds Beyond Campus

The initiative exemplifies SIT's commitment to fostering strong community bonds and creating meaningful impact beyond campus boundaries. As the university continues to grow and develop in its new Punggol Campus, such community engagement initiatives remain at the heart of the SIT identity.

Through partnerships with organisations like SHINE and Allkin, SIT continues to demonstrate its dedication not just to nurturing the next generation, but also a spirit of giving and community service among its staff and students. This holiday initiative stands as a testament to how educational institutions can play a vital role in spreading joy and support throughout the wider community.

These moments of coming together to support our community partners truly reflect what we stand for in SIT. Seeing our colleagues work to bring holiday cheer to children and youth is very moving. Indeed, small gestures such as these can make a significant impact on our community.
