Development of an app focusing on equipment usage during lab practical

Abstract

Smart devices, together with advances in Wi-Fi and cellular networks, have significantly improved people’s lives in many aspects, one of which is enabling people to search and learn things more conveniently regardless of time and location. Leveraging the accessibility of smartphones among the general student population, the aim of this project is to develop a mobile application (or app), to enhance students’ understanding of lab equipment usage for students from Pharmaceutical Engineering (PE) and Food Technology (FT) programmes in a more time-/space-efficient way.
