Dr Yeh I-Ling
Dr Yeh I-Ling Yeh is an Assistant Professor in the Health and Social Sciences Cluster. She teaches 11 modules across the four cohorts. She believes that a supportive teacher-student relationship underpinned by trust is critical to facilitate learning. I-Ling sees the relationship between curiosity and motivation; thus, she stimulates curiosity among her students because motivation will follow. Her goal is to get her students to create their own knowledge.

Ms Id Lim
With a duty to develop the skills of SITizens, Idy Lim has put in considerable effort to help them explore new frontiers. She takes time to understand their needs and drives the Alumni Mentoring Programme to further develop their professional and life skills. Idy has also been instrumental in engaging and nurturing SITizen Ambassadors. Her ability to connect with and inspire these students and alumni contributes to the success of these programmes.

Mr Jeffrey Thng
As a career coach, Jeffrey designs, develops, and delivers training on career skills for students. He believes in the importance of impacting students through excellence in curriculum design in his training and workshops. He incorporates real-life examples, gamification, and peer learning in his training and workshops. Jeffrey seeks to impart career skills to prepare students for their work attachments and build confidence in their career pursuit.

Mr Kenneth Woo
Kenneth takes care of student activities in SIT. He encourages students to expand their worldview and stay relevant to the industry and community. He believes strongly that education, both within and beyond the classroom, is a catalyst for transformation. Kenneth provides mentorship to student leaders, encouraging them to seize opportunities and make every lesson count. He leads by example and inspires students to be their best. He builds strong bonds with student leaders and is dedicated to designing student development programmes. These carefully curated programmes empower students to harness their strengths and achieve their fullest potential.

Ms Li Ling
As a former national basketball and netball player, Li Ling believes in building resilience and tenacity in today's youth. Her tireless dedication to student development has brought out the best in students, from varsity athletes to performing artists and student leaders. Li Ling thrives when SITizens excel. She builds strong rapport and trusting connections with students, who turn to her for guidance in their university journey and personal life. In addition, she mentors students with thoughtfulness and empathy, encouraging them as they navigate challenges and discover new possibilities.

Mr Joshua Chan
Mr Joshua Chan is passionate about looking after the mental health and well-being of students under his charge. He motivates students to learn by giving them clear learning objectives, helping students manage their anxiety and creating a sense of responsibility to community through discussion on sustainability development goals via case studies to relate their laboratory activities to engineering practices and industry safety issues.

Dr Karina Michelle Dancza
Dr Karina Dancza is an Assistant Professor in the Health and Social Sciences Cluster. She feels that it is a privilege to have an impact on students’ learning and their future practice. She constantly creates a nurturing environment that enables students to thrive through applying evidence-based pedagogy, co-designing learning with students, and critical reflection. Karina authored the textbook Implementing Occupation-Centered Practice: A Practical Guide for Occupational Therapy Practice Learning which is now being housed in over 170 libraries internationally.

Dr Ng Lee Keng
Dr Ng’s classes are always fun, engaging, and conducive as she plans the classes well. Moreover, Dr. Ng always goes beyond just teaching about the module but also shares experiences that help in learning and enhancing the students' character development. Dr Purnima Murali Mohan
Dr Purnima Murali Mohan aims to implement active learning in all her modules while ensuring industry relevancy to enhance student learning outcomes. Her combination of module lecture, simulation assignment, hands-on lab and industry guest lecture allows the stimulation of higher-order thinking and problem solving skills for the students. Dr Purnima is also committed to student development and encourages students to apply for competitions, hackathons and certifications to showcase their skills and build their profile. Purnima embraces the use of simulation and technology & learning (T&L) tools to keep the students engaged in their learning.

Dr Sivaneasan Bala Krishnan
Dr Sivaneasan Bala Krishnan is an experienced academic who strongly believes in the “applied teaching – applied research” nexus. He frequently brings real-life examples from his applied research outcomes into his teaching materials, which is very appreciated by his students. He is also very committed to the lifelong learning and career aspirations of his students and graduates, developing and delivering numerous CET courses to help his recent graduates e.g., sitting for the Professional Engineers Board’s first stage examination. He also secured a Harnessing Applied Learning Online (HALO) grant to develop an innovative “Online Cyber Security Penetration Testing Laboratory” to help his postgraduate students achieve learning outcome in modern software usage.

Dr Steven Tay
Dr Steven Tay believes in the teaching philosophy that when the knowledge is relevant, there will be more active discussion which will in turn make student learning more effective. He constantly strives to enhance student learning through real-life industrial experiences and maintains an active learning environment. He also helped to pioneer a case study of social innovation project with Community Leadership & Social Innovation Centre (CLASIC), which demonstrated the learning outcomes of sustainability and society. In his supervision of capstone projects, he instilled in his students the importance of soft transferrable skills beside the more conventional hard engineering skills.

Dr Tan Chek Tien
Dr Tan Chek Tien firmly believes in fostering the applied research-teaching nexus as a key component of his teaching pedagogy. He is not afraid to experiment in his teaching and continuously explores improvements and new methods in his teaching. His learning activities such as life digital illustration, live coding lecture sessions and YouTube lecture series keep the students engaged in their learning. Dr Tan believes in developing student qualities beyond curriculum modules and mentoring students in their study and career progression.
