Implementation of Virtual Reality for Hands-On Practice of Current Injection Testing on Electrical Protection Relays
Grant Name
Applied Learning and Innovation Grant (ALIGN)Abstract
This proposal aims to develop a virtual reality (VR) system to teach students how to perform primary and secondary current injection testing on protection relays in electrical switchboards. This system will be integrated into the electrical power engineering curriculum at SIT, providing students with an immersive and safe environment to gain practical experience. The VR module will simulate real-world testing scenarios, enabling students to visualize and understand complex concepts without the risks associated with high-voltage and heavy equipment.
