Ms. Nurul Adliah graduated from Nanyang Polytechnic with a Diploma in Diagnostic Radiography in 2007. She obtained a Bachelor Degree in Medical Radiation Science (Medical Imaging) from Charles Sturt University, New South Wales, Australia, in 2008 and holds a Master of Medical Ultrasound from University of South Australia, Adelaide, Australia in 2014.She started diagnostic ultrasound in 2008 and in 2010, she was awarded the Singhealth HMDP scholarship in "Advanced Transplantation and Contrast Enhanced Abdominal Ultrasound" at Toronto General Hospital, Ontario, Canada for 2 months. Currently, she is one of the committee members involve in setting up new Sengkang Hospital; overlooking ultrasound machines procurement for the entire institution. She is responsible for training new radiographers in ultrasound modality and conducting ultrasound workshop for other Allied Health Professionals in the hospital. She has guided ultrasound radiographers in oral/ poster presentation for both local and overseas conferences. At present, she is leading a research study on ‘Reliability of Ultrasound to assess Nasogastric Tube (NGT) placement’.

Stephen Bird is a general sonographer with 25 years of clinical experience. He is currently working at Benson Radiology in South Australia. He holds a General and a Vascular DMU (Diploma of Medical Ultrasonography) and a Masters of Medical Sonography from the University of South Australia. Professionally he has been a member of the ASUM (Australasian Society for Ultrasound in Medicine) Federal Council, ASA (Australasian Sonographers Association) Federal Council, Chairman of ASAR (Australian Sonographer Accreditation Registry) and Chairman of the DMU Board of Examiners. He was the recipient of the 2002 ASA Pru Pratten Memorial Sonographer Achievement Award and in 2008 was made an Honorary Fellow of ASUM. He is a passionate educator, presenting regularly at national and international conferences as well as conducting weekend workshops for diagnostic medical ultrasound professionals.

Ms. Rafidah is a senior principal radiographer who has devoted her career to educating the radiographers training in ultrasound, residents and clinicians on attachment at the Division of Radiological Sciences, SGH since 1998. She has many years of teaching experiences in diagnostic ultrasound imaging. She is qualified with a Diploma in Radiography from the School of Radiography, Ministry of Education in 1991. In 1998, she also obtained Advanced Diploma in Sonography from Nanyang Polytechnic. In May 2011, she achieved a Master of Medical Ultrasound from Monash University. She is also an active member of the Medical Ultrasound Society, Singapore. Currently, she is undertaking a few research audit projects related to thyroid. Her expertise is also been recognised externally and was conferred a Certificate of Appointment by Clinical Faculty of School of Medical Imaging and Radiological Sciences, Chung Shan Medical University from Taiwan as a trainer. In June 2011, she was nominated as an instructor during the “2nd Hands-on Musculoskeletal Ultrasound Workshop Upper Limb and Guided Injection” at the National University of Malaysia, Malaysia. She is currently an honorary treasurer of the Medical Ultrasound Society, Singapore.
