San Yuan Study Grant
The San Yuan Study Grant is open to students pursuing any of the full-time undergraduate degree programmes that is offered by the Institute as follows – Bachelor of Science with Honours in Dietetics and Nutrition, Bachelor of Food Technology with Honours, Bachelor of Science with Honours in Digital Communications and Integrated Media, Bachelor of Business Administration Food Business Management (Baking and Pastry Arts) or Bachelor of Business Administration Food Business Management (Culinary Arts).
Eligibility:
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Are pursuing any of the full-time undergraduate degree programmes offered by the Institute as follows:
- Bsc (Hons) Dietetics and Nutrition; or
- Bachelor of Food Technology with Honours; or
- Bsc (Hons) Digital Communications and Integrated Media; or
- Bachelor of Business Administration Food Business Management (Baking and Pastry Arts); or
- Bachelor of Business Administration Food Business Management (Culinary Arts)
- Are Singapore Citizens or Singapore Permanent Residents;
- Achieved outstanding academic results as the Institute may in its sole discretion determine;
- Have a monthly household Per Capita Income (PCI) of less than or equal to $1,100.
Tenure and Benefits of the Bursary:
- Each Grant, valued at $5,000, and is applicable for one (1) academic year.
- The Grant shall be used for the Recipients' educational expenses such as tuition fees, course materials, expenses for any overseas immersion programmes conducted by the Institute, and fees for other educational activities organised by the Institute.
- Recipients who have already been awarded the Grant for one year of study may apply to receive and be considered for the Grant in a subsequent year of study, subject to the fulfilment of the above selection criteria, and with the recommendation of the Institute and the selection by the Selection Committee.
- The Recipients may not accept other grants but may accept other scholarships, bursaries or awards concurrently.
About the Donor
The Grant is made possible by a gift from San Yuan Enterprise Pte Ltd, which comprises San Yuan Tea House and San Yuan Ke Geomancy Consultancy. The donor is a strong believer in cultivating good health and general well-being. The donor wishes to encourage financially disadvantaged students at SIT in their pursuit of knowledge and hopes that, in the future, the community of recipients will also give back to society, help others, and live purposefully.
How To Apply
Matriculated students are to submit their Financial Aid application via the SIT Student Intranet - IN4SIT. Do note that students are to connect to the SIT VPN before accessing IN4SIT.
Applicants will need to complete and submit the online application form and upload all required supporting documents through the application portal by the given deadline.
