Tang Chong Eng Health Sciences Study Grant

The Tang Chong Eng Health Sciences Study Grant is open to students pursuing either the full-time Master of Health Sciences or Graduate Diploma postgraduate programme, specializing in Rehabilitation Nursing offered by the Singapore Institute of Technology.

Eligibility:

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Are pursuing either the full-time Master of Health Sciences or Graduate Diploma postgraduate programme, specializing in Rehabilitation Nursing offered by the Institute;
  • Are Singapore Citizens, Singapore Permanent Residents or Foreigners;
  • Have at least 3 years of nursing work experience;
  • Have obtained an endorsement by Applicant’s Head of Department (HOD);
  • Agreed to be deployed to an area that utilises rehabilitation nursing skills upon completion of the postgraduate programme.  

Tenure and Benefits of the Bursary:

  • Each Grant, valued at $10,000 for Singapore Citizen, $20,000 for Singapore Permanent Resident each, and/or $40,000 for Foreigners, and is applicable for one (1) academic year.
  • The Grant shall be used for the Recipients' educational expenses such as tuition fees, course materials, expenses for any overseas immersion programmes conducted by the Institute, and fees for other educational activities organised by the Institute.
  • Recipients who have already been awarded the Grant for one year of study may apply to receive and be considered for the Grant in a subsequent year of study, subject to the fulfilment of the above selection criteria, and with the recommendation of the Institute and the selection by the Selection Committee.
  • The Recipients may not accept other scholarships or grants, but may accept other bursaries or awards concurrently.

How To Apply

Applications for Public Bursaries, Donated Bursaries & Scholarships will commence in July 2022. Do keep a look out for more information which will be sent to your SIT e-mail address.

Matriculated students are to submit their Financial Aid application via the SIT Student Intranet - IN4SIT. Do note that students are to connect to the SIT VPN before accessing IN4SIT. 

Applicants will need to complete and submit the online application form and upload all required supporting documents through the application portal by the given deadline.
