Singapore Chemical Industry Council Financial Scholarship
The Singapore Chemical Industry Council Financial Scholarship was established to support financially disadvantaged and deserving undergraduates pursuing a degree in chemical engineering at the Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT).
Eligibility and Selection Criteria
- Applicable to students who are pursuing a full-time undergraduate degree in Chemical Engineering offered by the Institute.
- Singapore Citizens.
- Have achieved good academic results as the Institute may in its sole discretion determine.
- Preference will be given to financially disadvantaged applicants whose Gross Monthly Household per capita Income (PCI) is less than or equal to the Ministry of Education’s ceiling for Gross monthly household PCI (as set out here or any other website that replaces the aforementioned website)
Benefits and Obligation of Scholarship:
- Each Scholarship, valued at $7,500, is applicable for one (1) academic year.
- The Scholarship shall be used for the recipients' educational expenses such as tuition fees, course materials, expenses for study trips and fees for other educational activities organised by the Institute.
- Recipients of this Scholarship may accept other scholarship(s) concurrently.
About the Donor
The Scholarship has been made possible with a gift from Singapore Chemical Industry Council (SCIC). The SCIC is the official body representing the interests of the chemical companies in Singapore in the private sector. Its member companies comprise of key multinationals and small & medium enterprises of chemical manufacturers as well as logistic services providers and traders.
How To Apply
Matriculated students may access the online application form via the SIT Student Intranet - IN4SIT.
Applicants will need to complete and submit the online application form after uploading all required supporting documents through the application portal by the given deadline. Scholarship applicants are expected to upload an endorsed Letter of Recommendation and their SIT Record of Achievement (where applicable).
