Temasek Scholarship

The Temasek Scholarship is a merit-based scholarship established to nurture and recognise talented students pursuing a full-time Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) undergraduate degree programme at the Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT).

Eligibility Criteria

Students pursuing any full-time undergraduate degree programme offered by the University, who:

  • Are first-year students enrolled in a STEM degree programme offered by the University;
  • Are Singapore Citizens;

  • Are from a family with a Gross Household Monthly Income of not more than S$15,000 at the point of admission;

  • Graduated from a local polytechnic, with a minimum Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.5; and

  • Demonstrate commitment to contribute to the STEM economy in Singapore.

The Recipient must achieve a minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 3.5, in the preceding Academic Year of study at the University to remain eligible for the Scholarship.

Tenure and Benefits of Scholarship

  • Each Scholarship is valued up to S$18,030 per annum, dependent on the average tuition fees for the Recipients' respective degree programmes. This includes an annual stipend of S$7,200.
  • Recipients will also receive a one-time laptop allowance of S$2,000 in their first year of study. They may also receive an additional one-time Global Mobility Grant of S$10,000 should they be eligible for, and choose to attend a global exposure programme conducted by the University.
  • The Scholarship shall be used for the recipient’s educational expenses, such as tuition fees, course materials, expenses for any overseas immersion programmes conducted by the University, and fees for other educational activities organised by the University.
  • Each Scholarship is tenable for the entire course of study (up to four years) of the respective degree programme at the University. Recipients of this Scholarship may not accept other scholarship(s) concurrently.

This Scholarship is part of a S$150 million community gift — named “T-Spring” — to mark Temasek’s 50th anniversary in 2024 and reflects its continued commitment to give back to the community. How To Apply

Applications for Public Bursaries, Donated Bursaries & Scholarships will commence in July 2022. Do keep a look out for more information which will be sent to your SIT e-mail address.

Matriculated students may access the online application form via the SIT Student Intranet - IN4SIT.

Applicants will need to complete and submit the online application form after uploading all required supporting documents through the application portal by the given deadline. Scholarship applicants are expected to upload an endorsed Letter of Recommendation and their SIT Record of Achievement (where applicable).
