About the Donor
The Book Prize is made possible with a gift by the IEEE Power and Energy Society (PES) Singapore Chapter. Established in 1984 and for nearly four decades, the Chapter has been the leading professional development hub for the power and energy engineering community in Singapore. Its mission is to empower and educate the PES community with the latest technological advancements in the electric power industry. The Chapter achieves this by organising various technical events, seminars, short courses, workshops, symposiums, and conferences on trending topics in the power and energy sector. Additionally, it hosts social and community events, offering excellent networking opportunities with industry leaders. The Chapter's scholarship and student award initiatives inspire and motivate engineering students to pursue careers in power and energy. It also collaborates closely with other IEEE Societies, Chapters, and Affinity Groups to conduct interdisciplinary programmes and events.
