Aircraft Performance

The aim of this module is to introduce to students the flight environment and the aerodynamics of the aircraft.  Basic propulsion characteristics for jet and propeller propelled aircraft will be compared.  Aircraft point-mass equations will be introduced for the analysis of steady cruise and climb performance, range and endurance and take-off and landing performance.
