Reach for the Stars 2014

SINGAPORE, 26 March – Since its inception in 2010, more than 600 students have received scholarships through Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT). This would not have been possible without the support of various scholarship contributors.

To show our appreciation, SIT’s scholarship contributors were invited to ‘Reach for the Stars 2014’, held at the Mandarin Orchard Singapore Hotel. The event was attended by some 40 scholarship contributors and 200 SIT scholars; a team of whom worked silently behind the scenes, contributing to the planning and organisation of the event.

During the evening, three SIT scholars gave inspiring speeches about how the SIT scholarship has given them an opportunity to pursue their dreams.

One Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) Scholarship recipient, Keith Lee, who is enrolled in his first year at SIT-University of Glasgow’s Aeronautical Engineering programme said:

“I am here to be an ambassador for the SAF and to be a representative for their cause,”.

SIT targets for one in six students to be on scholarship or sponsorship programmes.
