The Multi-Ministry Taskforce has announced that Singapore will exit the Circuit Breaker period in a careful and calibrated manner from 1 June, and embark on a controlled approach to resume activities safely over three phases. In alignment with this national posture, SIT will take a phased approach in the resumption of our operations, and implement all necessary safe management measures to ensure a safe environment for the SIT community.
All six campuses will re-open on Tuesday, 2 June. All lectures and tutorials will continue via home-based learning. Only practical and lab sessions will be conducted on campus, with no more than 25 students per session. Student activities such as Co-Curricular Activities (CCAs) will continue to be suspended until further notice. Students will return to campus only on a need-to basis. For contact tracing purposes, all persons on our campuses will be required to use the SafeEntry digital check-in system when entering and leaving the campus.
Telecommuting will remain as the default mode of work for staff. For staff who are required to return to campus, shift or split-team arrangements will be deployed, with staggered start and end times.
Measures will be taken to reduce inter-mingling between students and staff on campus. Students will be instructed to remain in their designated practical or lab groups, even during meal times. All students and staff must also wear masks at all times.
