SIT Open House 2015 - Discover What We're Made Of

SIT Open House 2015

Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT) will hold its Open House this year at Suntec Singapore Convention and Exhibition Centre Level 3 over the weekend of 17 – 18 January 2015. This will be SIT’s first Open House as an Autonomous University.

SIT will also showcase its five new degree programmes for the 2015 intake. These new applied degree programmes, announced recently at SIT’s Press Conference 2015 on 13 January 2015, alongside its industry initiatives, place a strong emphasis on skills mastery through enhanced collaboration with their industry partners, and are aligned with the national SkillsFuture movement.

They will also feature the unique 8 to 12 months Integrated Work Study Programme (IWSP) as a core component of SIT degree programmes. IWSP will allow students to effectively experience melding classroom theory with real-work scenarios. The first intake of these programmes will commence classes in September 2015. Both degree programmes under the Bachelor of Engineering with Honours in Sustainable Infrastructure Engineering will also allow students who perform well to proceed on to take the Master of Engineering Technology degree.

SIT has 36 degree programmes in total. These include seven of SIT’s own degree programmes and two joint-degree programmes.

SIT’s specialised degree offerings cover areas in Physical Science & Engineering, Food Science & Chemical Engineering, Information Communications & Computing, Health Sciences, and Design, Education & Social Sciences through partnerships with its 10 overseas universities.

Students who are interested in an applied learning approach which melds theory with practical application will have the opportunity to speak to lecturers and staff on-site to find out more more about SIT’s degree offerings. Staff will also be on hand to answer any questions students may have about life at SIT, career services offered, financial assistance programmes and scholarships available. Various student clubs and societies, as well as performances will also give interested applicants a glimpse of the vibrant student life awaiting them.

Time: 10.00 AM – 6.00 PM
