SIT’s ICT programme bolstered by CSA partnership

SINGAPORE, 1 April – Through a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Cloud Security Alliance (CSA), students from the Singapore Institute of Technology’s (SIT) Information and Communication Technology programme can look forward to accessing educational resources from CSA, volunteering at their events in the region and receiving priority for job placements with CSA during the course of the studies.

“We are very pleased to partner Cloud Security Alliance, a heavyweight in the cloud computing industry,” said Professor Tan Thiam Soon, President SIT.

CSA is a non-for-profit organization that promotes best practices for providing security assurance within Cloud Computing, and to provide education on the uses of Cloud Computing.  SIT is CSA’s first university educational partner in Asia. SIT also aims to collaborate with CSA in applied R&D projects to advance security for cloud computing. This will also create more opportunities for SIT faculty and students to interact with leading cloud security companies in the region.

“We look forward to our collaboration with SIT and their ICT programme students, the future workforce in cyber security and cloud computing,” said Aloysius Cheang, Managing Director APAC, CSA.

The Information and Communication Technology programme, commencing in Sep 2014, is expected to take in about 50 students.
