Graduates of SIT’s Accountancy Programme can now directly enrol in the Singapore Qualification Programme, effectively allowing them to skip the foundation papers. This has been made possible with SIT’s Accountancy Programme recently being accredited by the Singapore Accountancy Commission (SAC).
“This accreditation is very timely as it paves the direct route for our first batch of graduates from August 2016, plus students who are graduating in December this year, to enrol in the Singapore Qualification Programme at the professional level programme in Jan 2017,” said A/Prof Koh Sze Kee, Programme Director, Design and Specialised Businesses.
Apart from the most recent accreditation by SAC, SIT’s Accountancy Programme has previously been accredited by CPA Australia, ICAEW, CAANZ and CIMA. The programme has also been accepted into the CFA Institute University Recognition Programme. This status is granted to institutions whose degree programmes incorporate at least 70% of the CFA Programme candidate Body of Knowledge (CBOK), which provide students with a solid grounding in the CBOK and positions them well to sit for CFA exams.
